The Palace of Agamemnon was the name for the wide eastern region of Argolis, Greece. The ruins of the ancient city of Mycenae, as well as the Agamemnon's Tomb were within the region. East of the region was the Phoibean Lagoon, connected to the Saronic Gulf.
During the Peloponnesian War the misthios Kassandra explored the area.[1]
