Oscar Kane (died 1861) was an Irish Assassin turncoat who defected to the Templar Order in the mid-19th century. A prominent figure in Victorian times, Oscar Kane, under the pseudonym of Magus, orchestrated a variety of political assassinations across Europe. He was also responsible for spearheaded the development of a highly advanced analytical device called the Engine of History.
Biography
Prior to his defection from the brotherhood, Kane served as a liaison for the Assassin branches based in Northern Europe, including the British and French branches. Following his joining with the Templars, Kane adopted the alias known as the Magus befriended the likes of the tailor János Libényi and revolutionary Felice Orsini.[1]
