Leonidas I (540 BCE – 11 August 480 BCE) was a warrior king of the Greek city-state of Sparta, known for his involvement in the Battle of Thermopylae against the Persian army in 480 BCE. Leonidas wielded an Isu spear, which was later passed down to his grandchild.[1]
Leonidas possessed some Isu DNA, and consequently, so did his children.[2]
