Deianeira (died 420s BCE) was a Boeotian mercenary and a member of the Cult of Kosmos operating under the Heroes of the Cult branch in Boeotia, Greece during the Peloponnesian War.

Along with three other Boeotian champions, Drakon, Aristaios and Nesaia, Deianeira was employed by Athens' Delian League to defend Boeotia against Sparta. She was eventually hunted down and killed by the Spartan misthios, Kassandra, who aided her stepbrother, Stentor in conquering Boeotia.

Trivia

  • Deianeira shares her name with a character in Greek mythology. The name itself means 'man-destroyer' or 'destroyer of her husband'.
