Astypalia City

Astypalia City was the largest city of Kos, acting as its political centre and home to most of the island's population. Hippokrates, known as the "Father of Medicine", was born in the city.

During the Peloponnesian War the city was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.[1]
