The Bull of Oreos

The Bull of Oreos is a monument located near the Oreos Quarry in Artemision Point of Euboea, Greece. During the 5th century BCE, it was a place of worship, with people bringing offerings.

During the Peloponnesian War, the misthios Kassandra explored the place.[1]

  • The monument is based on the bull of Oreoi, found in the waters of the harbor of Oreoi in 1965, and currently displayed in a glass cage in the town.
