The Third Apple is a Piece of Eden, a piece of ancient but technologically advanced equipment created by Those Who Came Before to control human-kind, their workforce.

Use: Designed to create illusions and control mens' minds; can be used in conjunction with the Staff.

Status: Unknown

Neutral Ownership: Those Who Came Before, John F. Kennedy[1].

Assassin Associated Ownership: George Washington (Freemasons)

Templar Associated Ownership: Franklin D. Roosevelt[2], Lyndon B. Johnson[1].

History

The earliest known possessors of the Third Apple are the Masons[2], who brought it over from Europe to the New World, as indicated by the hidden message in the third Glyph puzzle. George Washington was a Freemason (as well as a number of Founding Fathers), which had ties to the Templars, as well being the first President of the United States of America, indicating that it was passed on to the successor of the position. It later comes into possession of Franklin D. Roosevelt [2], who had teamed up with Winston Churchill and Joseph Stalin as leaders of the Allied Forces in the fabrication of World War II. [3]

It eventually ends up in the hands of John F. Kennedy, whom the Templars view as a threat as he was in favor of giving the working force more civil liberties.[1] The driver in the motorcade, under the influence of the Second Apple, takes the Third Apple after Kennedy has been shot[1]. After this it presumably falls under Templar control, as Lyndon B. Johnson is named a Templar by Subject 16 [4], who was able to push for the Apollo 11 to reach the Moon and retrieve the Piece of Eden there[4] without opposition.
