- "The ruins of Mycenae. Perseus himself lived there once."
- ―Kassandra[src]

The Palace of Agamemnon was the name for the wide eastern region of Argolis, Greece. The ruins of the ancient city of Mycenae, as well as Agamemnon's Tomb, were within the region. East of the region was the Phoibean Lagoon, connected to the Saronic Gulf.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the area.[1]
