Odysseus' Palace was a palace situated on Ithaka, said to be the personal residence of Odysseus, the hero in Homer's epic poem Odyssey.
Sometime in 431 BCE, the palace was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra, who was sent by Elpenor to retrieve the Shroud of Penelope.[1] While recovering the shroud, Kassandra came across a descendant of Odysseus, Odessa, who was held captive in a cage by the bandits who had taken over the ruins. After freeing her, Kassandra accompanied the adventurer in exploring the ruins, before escorting her to the beach safely.[2]
Around the same time, Kassandra also found one of the Ainigmata Ostraka within the Palace.[3]
