Menalkas was an Elean farmer lived during the Peloponnesian War, residing in a village farm that worshipped the Spartan misthios Kassandra.

Around 431 BCE, after his produce were failing, he sought the help of Kassandra, who was sent by Priestess Hexione to investigate.^[1]
