Anastasios (died autumn 429 BCE) was an Athenian man and an associate of the hetaera Aspasia.

Biography

When Athens was hit by the plague, Aspasia tasked Phoibe to find Anastasios at his home near the Odeon of Perikles, and request him to secure a ferry upon which Aspasia might leave Athens with Perikles.[1]

However, the Cult of Kosmos either learned of this plan, or otherwise targeted associates of Aspasia, and had Deimos attack Anastasios at his home, killing him and everyone else within the house.[2]

Soon afterwards, the Spartan misthios Kassandra found the grisly remains of Anastasios and others.[2]
