Isu Shards, also known as Keys, were pieces of Isu technology used to open various doors and chambers made by the precursor race.

Design

Shards found on the Isle of Skye during the Viking expansion were triangular and golden, engraved with a vertical dash dash on their front face.[1] These fragments were identical in appearance to the Artifact Fragments that made up the Pyramid, an Isu artifact used in Greece during the Peloponnesian War by the Cult of Kosmos to support their schemes,[2] which could be used to upgrade certain Pieces of Eden in Isu forges such as the Forge of Hephaistos,[3] while these shards were made to open entrances to their repositories instead.[1]

The shards found in and around Baghdad during the Abbasid Caliphate were less triangular in shape and more rugged, covered by panel lines typical of the Isu's desgins. Despite that, the pedestals in which the artifacts could be inserted on in the vault under the Northern Oasis in the Arabic desert had triangular slots.[4]
