Gaia the Fist (died 429 BCE) was a mercenary who operated around Potidaia in Makedonia during the Peloponnesian War.

Biography

Gaia was know for running at his intended targets while ignoring any projectile weapons. He claimed that he liked seeing the look of dispair in there eyes while charging, only gaining speed, until reaching them and ending their life.

Around 429 BCE, Gaia was one of the mercenaries hired by the Order of Hunters to hunt down the misthios Kassandra, who was also a Tainted One. The influx of mercenaries troubled Ide, an elderly woman living in Amphipolis, and when she crossed paths with Kassandra, Ide asked her to get rid of the mercenaries.[1] Kassandra did so, finding Gaia hanging around Potidaia's docks, and killing him.[2]
