"Gorbachev does not have our interests at heart. He is moving far to slowly to privatize, and my deepest fear is that he has no intention to do so at all."
―Thatcher, in a letter to Boris Yeltsin.[src]-[m]

Margaret Hilda Thatcher, Baroness Thatcher (née Roberts; 1925 – 2013) was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1979 to 1990.

Biography[edit | edit source]

During her tenure as Prime Minister, Thatcher was manipulated into supporting the goals of Abstergo Industries, which resulted in her involvement in the disposition of Mikhail Gorbachev as leader of the Soviet Union in 1991, as well as supporting the ascension of President Boris Yeltsin.[1]

On one occasion, Thatcher personally wrote to Yeltsin, encouraging him to act swiftly. She informed him that several of her Abstergo contacts would incite a riot with the help of members of the communist old guard. Thatcher further instructed that Yeltsin take advantage of the chaos and publicly repel an attempt to seize parliament in view of the media.[1]
