Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple is a comic that was released on the Webtoon platform. The series follows the story of the Welsh Assassin Edward Kenway after the events of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.[1][2]

Synopsis

"Assassin’s Creed: Forgotten Temple" will continue the story of fan-favorite character Edward Kenway immediately following the events of the hit video game "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag." The thrilling new adventure features the privateer-turned-pirate after his full integration into the Assassin Brotherhood. Edward Kenway is on a dangerous quest to find Pieces of Eden on the coasts of the Southeast Asian seas—and will have to face off with new and mysterious adversaries. Fans will also be introduced to Noa, a Korean American descendant of Edward Kenway, who investigates the Assassin's past in the present day while searching for information about his family.[3]

Game Informer reported that the comic would expand on the story of Edward Kenway following the events of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. It would also be part of the new Ubisoft collection of 'Chronicles', new adventures featuring familiar faces.[2] Ubisoft's official site notes that the webtoon will contain 3 seasons of 50 episodes.[4]

On 12 April 2023, it was revealed the webtoon was named Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple and that the first 6 episodes of 150 would release on the 24 April 2023,[5] While users could gain early access to read episodes 2–6 by paying a 50¢ fee for each installment, the issues would also release for free to the public on a weekly basis.
