Podarkes was a Greek strongman who operated in Mykonos. During the Peloponnesian War, he allied with Athens' Delian League. He was also a member of the Cult of Kosmos, an organization which sought to hunt down the Misthios' family. While most of his personality is unknown, it is known that he is exceedingly cruel (to the point Barnabas claims "even Hades would shudder in his presence"), as one time, a family was late in paying their dues to the gods; as such, Podarkes sent his men to their farm under the cover of night to snatch their sons from their beds. When the parents woke up to feed the animals, they discovered the animals were already feeding on the corpses of their children.
