Phaleron Sunken Harbor was a sunken port located within the Phaleron Sandy Bay region in Attika, Greece.
History
During the Greco-Persian Wars the site served as the main port of Athens before the development of the Port of Piraeus. It was also featured in the Greek mythology, being the place whence Athenian boats set out for the Trojan War.[1]
During the Peloponnesian War the Spartan misthios Kassandra visited the sunken site, finding the Athenian outfits for the crew of the ship Adrestia.[1]
