A message board in the 5th century BCE Greece

The Message board was a public place for posting contracts, notices, and sundry calls for help in the 5th century BCE Greece.

Marked by the statue depicting the Greek god Hermes in his role as the Messenger of the Gods, the message boards tended to be located near the agorae of towns and cities. During the Peloponnesian War, the message boards throughout Greece were used by multiple mercenaries, including the Spartan misthios Kassandra, to look for work. The ship Adrestia also had its own board, albeit without the statue, attached to the main mast.[1]

Behind the scenes

The message boards in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey are functionally the same as pigeon coops of Renaissance in Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.
