Hippocrates of Kos (c. 460 BCE – c. 370 BCE), also known as Hippokrates, was a Greek physician who lived during the 5th century BCE, widely known as the father of modern medicine.

Despite being known for his important and lasting contributions to the field of medicine, his methods was seen by various religious citizens as controversial.
