Dienekes (died 480 BCE) was a Spartan soldier who fought alongside King Leonidas during the Battle of Thermopylae.
Before the battle took place, Dienekes approached Leonidas near the cliffs, who was reminiscing about how he would liked to go fishing with his son.[1]
