The Kingdom of Belgium is a country that is located in Europe which shares a border with, among others, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Germany and France.

History

Leopold I, the uncle of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom, was King of Belgium from July 1831 to December 1865.[1] In 1854, the Aurora Equestrian Troupe performed in Brussels, where its acrobat Pierrette Arnaud called for Simeon Price, in order to find him for her departed friend Ada Lovelace.[2]

During the Franco-Prussian War, the Austrian Templar Countess Konstanze von Visler set a base in Brussels and communicated with French Templars on both the matters of installing a new French government and transporting the Ankh to them safely.[3] However, the war and the constant interference with the French Assassins halted their progress.[4]

In the winter of 1870, Konstanze herself was confronted by the British Assassin Simeon at the Château Aarden. He wanted Ada Lovelace's notes and her dead. However, after their conversation, they agreed on a truce with the condition of the Templars stopping their manipulation of the French government.[5] For the next three years, Simeon and Konstanze held meetings to discuss their principles and personal lives. Meanwhile, Konstanze talked with King Leopold II about getting rid of warfare from the country after the Prussians won the war against France.[6]

However, one day, the château's host Lambert tried to kill Simeon, but Lambert was overpowered and killed. From this and Konstanze's arrival, Simeon rejected their meetings, only to be stopped by Konstanze, who began kissing him. Spending the day together, Simeon felt conflicted and later confided in Gamal Sabry about the recent attack from the Templars. After their conversation, Simeon decided to leave Brussels to escape the Templars' sight.[7]
