Asvid was a jötnar scientist with an Enchanted Tower facility near Útgarðar who was experimenting with methods to stimulate organic growth. For this purpose, he stole some of Ymir's Blood, but later had to flee. He made a breakthrough while in hiding but was unable to disseminate his findings.[1]
