The Altar of the Dioskouroi was a shrine situated on a hill west of Krokeai in Lakonia, Greece. Dedicated to the mythical twins Kastor and Polydeukes, the site was occupied by the Daughters of Artemis in the 5th century BCE.
During the Peloponnesian War, the shrine was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra, who eliminated the huntresses and claimed their valuables. At the same time, she also recovered an Ainigmata Ostraka at the altar.[1]
