Hesper was the wife of the Egyptian gladiator Kosey during the 1st century BCE, and the mother of Zalika and a son.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Hesper met and married Kosey, and bore Zalika while Kosey was still working as a gladiator under Thanasis. This meant she raised Zalika on her own for the first couple of years of her life. In 47 BCE, Kosey broke free of his employ, and settled with his family in the Green Mountains region in Cyrenaica, near the lake in the mountains, meeting the Medjay Bayek of Siwa along the way. Hesper was pregnant with their son at the moment.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Hesper is derived from the Greek name ‘Εσπερος (Hesperos), meaning 'evening'.
