Upon returning to [[Ravensthorpe]], this gear will be removed and Eivor will wake up equipped with the strongest gear in the player's inventory, mostly without regard for what was equipped before, and the Dreamed gear will be re-equipped to Havi regardless of what he was wearing before Eivor woke up.

Starting the ''Dawn of Ragnarök'' expansion from the New Game option will start the player with a pre-made Havi that has the same perks of the Boost offered to low level players, effective immediately upon beginning "The Rescue", although it also has 340 skill points allocated. Furthermore, under this route, the player is confined to Svartalfheim for the duration of their play, and the option to 'Wake Up' to Ravensthorpe is not available. These save files are marked with 'DAWN OF RAGNARÖK EXCLUSIVE' in green font, and the rest of the base game as well as the ''Wrath of the Druids'' and ''The Siege of Paris'' expansions will be completely inaccessible.

Dawn of Ragnarök is a downloadable content expansion package for Assassin's Creed: Valhalla that was released on 10 March 2022.[1] It is the third and final expansion pack for the game, after Wrath of the Druids and The Siege of Paris.
Synopsis[edit | edit source]
In a stunning world of Norse Myth, invaders of frost and flame threaten the fate of the Nine Realms. The dwarven kingdom of Svartálfaheimr is crumbling, and amidst the chaos, Odin's beloved son, Baldr, has been taken prisoner by the immortal fire giant, Surtr.
In Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarök, the most ambitious expansion in franchise history, Eivor must embrace their destiny as Odin, the Norse god of Battle and Wisdom. Unleash new divine powers as you embark on a desperate quest through a breathtaking world. Complete a legendary Viking saga and save your son in the face of the gods' doom.
A war begins. A world ends. This is the Dawn of Ragnarök.
Purchase now for immediate access to The Twilight Pack, featuring a gear set, a mount skin, and a raven skin![1]
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
The recommended Power level for the Dawn of Ragnarok expansion is 340, which is the vanilla end game level—not including the extra levels of enemy scaling for the Drengr and Aesir difficulties. It can be started from within an existing playthrough, or straight from the New Game option on the starting screen, with some caveats for the latter.
If lower level players attempt to begin "Gift to the God" via the ritual circle in "Restless Dreams", they will be offered a Boost with several perks to bridge the gap between their current level and the expected level:
- Eivor's Power will be raised to 340 from whatever level they are at, however this will only be reflected in base stats. Skill points remain at the pre-Boost amount, though additional skill points may be earned in the expansion and brought back to the base game.
- Players will receive several abilities at their fully upgraded states, if their corresponding Books of Knowledge have not been found: 'Piercing Shot', 'Focus of the Nornir', 'Thorn of Slumber', 'Vengeance of Thor', 'Týr's Kick', 'Dive of the Valkyries', and 'Throwing Axe Fury'.
- Players will also receive a Loaned set of "Dreamed" equipment—which has the same stats and appearance as the fully upgraded Raven Clan armor set, Varin's Axe, Raven Clan Shield, and Hunnish Bow—while they are in Svartalfheim. The gear will be labeled as "Loaned" with an orange lightning bolt and font and cannot be upgraded further, although any other gear can be. Upon returning to Ravensthorpe, this gear will be removed and Eivor will wake up equipped with the strongest gear in the player's inventory, mostly without regard for what was equipped before, and the Dreamed gear will be re-equipped to Havi regardless of what he was wearing before Eivor woke up.
Under this route, the boost is not in effect during the events of "The Rescue". Players can reject the Boost when it is initially offered, and the save files created after this point will be marked as "Boosted" with the same orange font if the offer is accepted. The game also warns the player that returning to the base game after completing the expansion will place them in a state of power far above the intended progression.
Starting the Dawn of Ragnarök expansion from the New Game option will start the player with a pre-made Havi that has the same perks of the Boost offered to low level players, effective immediately upon beginning "The Rescue", although it also has 340 skill points allocated. These points cannot be inspected or reset until the inventory, map, and other submenus become available in "Gift to the God", and they are assigned to unlock every skill in the central array minus 'Master Counter Roll', 'Explosive Corpse', 'Adrenaline Fiend', 'Arrow Reinforcement', 'Improved Bow Stun Finisher', 'Eye of the North', and the Wolf branch's Adrenaline upgrade; the outer skill trees containing 'Shield Master' and 'Wolf Warrior' among others are not invested in at all. Furthermore, under this route, the player is confined to Svartalfheim for the duration of their play, and the option to 'Wake Up' to Ravensthorpe is not available. These save files are marked with 'DAWN OF RAGNARÖK EXCLUSIVE' in green font, and the rest of the base game as well as the Wrath of the Druids and The Siege of Paris expansions will be completely inaccessible.
