Team Epsilon, or Epsilon Team, is a paramilitary task force employed by Abstergo Industries and its subsidiaries for the purpose of executing clandestine operations. Created to hunt down Assassins, the team was initially led by the Templar Maxime Gorm, who joined their deployment on 6 December 2000 as part of the Great Purge to eliminate an Assassin camp in Kyushu, Japan.[1]
By 2016, Team Epsilon remained operational and was deployed under the orders of Ortega Sanchez and Whittaker to assault an island in Argentina housing a secret Erudito stronghold, with the objective of locating and eliminating an Assassin cell working with the group.
