Tabban (died 860s) was a Hidden One of the Alamut Brotherhood during the 9th century.

Biography[edit | edit source]

In the 860s, Tabban became caught in a Tahirid attack on Alamut and was taken captive by soldiers led by Kabeer Al-Jund alongside his Mentor Rayhan and two other Hidden Ones. Kabeer interrogated the Hidden Ones to learn the location of the Isu temple they were protecting, but as all of them refused to speak, Kabeer ordered their execution, beginning with Tabban. Rayhan was the only one to survive the interrogation, thanks to Basim Ibn Ishaq, who returned to Alamut and assassinated Kabeer and his men.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Although it is possible for Basim to save Tabban and the other captive Hidden Ones if he assassinates Kabeer quickly enough, this scenario is likely non-canon, as Kabeer's full monologue will only play out if all the Hidden Ones are killed, except Rayhan.

Etymology[edit | edit source]

Tabban's name means "follower" in Arabic.
