Sap-Meh Warehouse

The Sap-Meh Warehouse was a warehouse belonging to Zervos, the harbormaster of Sais, Egypt.

In 48 BCE, the governor of Sais, Sefetu, increased taxes and imposed a curfew on the towsfolk, and in response, Zervos tried to help them by hiding their imports and exports. After discovering this, Sefetu had his men raid Zevros' warehouse to search for records of his transactions, which was secretly hidden on a felucca at the docks.[1]

In an attempt to prevent his records from being found, Zervos requested the Medjay Bayek of Siwa to locate his felucca and bring it a safe place nearby.[1]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Historically, Sais, where the warehouse was located, was part of Sap-Meh Nome, the fifth nome of Lower Egypt and served as its provincial capital.
