A pair of daggers depicting Nekhbet and Wadjet

Nekhbet is an ancient Egyptian goddess, originally the patron and protector of Upper Egypt and later one of the two patron deities for all of Ancient Egypt when it was unified, along with Wadjet. She was often depicted as a vulture-headed woman.

Influence[edit | edit source]

Queen Nefertiti owned a pair of daggers each representing one of the two goddesses that protected Egypt. In 38 BCE, while investigating the happenings at the Valley of the Kings, Medjay Bayek of Siwa confronted Nerfetiti and claimed her daggers upon her defeat.[1]
