Euphronios (c. 535 – after 470 BC), was a Greek vase painter and potter, active in Athens in the late 6th and early 5th centuries BCE.
Euphronios was the most famous member of The Pioneers, a group of potters active in Kerameikos, known for their exploration of the artistic potential of the red-figure style in revolutionary ways. He is recognized for his skillful rendering of the human body, as well as the experimental perspectives he employed to bring scenes to life.[1] It is believed his workshop was very successful.[2]
