Chrysaor was the son of Medusa and thus the brother of Pegasos in Greek mythology. With Callirrhoe, he also fathered the Giant Geryon.[1]

Influence[edit | edit source]

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra obtained a sword named after the mythical figure, through an Animus modification made by the Assassin Layla Hassan, who relived Kassandra's memories in 2018.[2] A likeness of Chrysaor was also depicted on the crest of a helmet of a set of armor inspired by his brother, Pegasos.[3]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The name Chrysaor is derived from the Greek word χρῡσός (khrūsós), meaning 'golden'. The name is usually translated as 'he who has a golden sword'.
