County Cork

County Cork is the southernmost county of Ireland. In 1822, English landlord Brandon Bolster and his family were attacked on their Athlacca estate in the county by irate tenants,^[1] who formed the Whiteboys, over tensions revolving around Bolster's usage of the farmlands. Fifty men attacked the estate, setting it aflame, though Brandon himself managed to survive the assault.^[2]
