Greta Östensdottir

Greta Östensdottir was the youngest daughter of the Swedish farmer Östen Jorundsson and his wife Hilla. She was also the sister of Tørgils and Agnes.

Biography[edit | edit source]

On the day her father was summoned by King Eric the Victorious to fight against Styrbjörn the Strong, he asked Agnes to take Greta outside and find Arne, mostly so he could talk to their mother. The girls returned some time later, and said goodbye to their father the following morning.^[1]

When her father returned from battle, Greta and the rest of her family rushed to greet him. After gathering his wife up in his arms and kissing her, he embraced his three children.^[2]
