The Atef-Pehu Nome (English: Northern Sycamore Nome) was one of nomes of Egypt, bordering Memphis to the north, the Faiyum to the west and the Haueris Nome to the southwest.

History[edit | edit source]

In 48 BCE, the Medjay Bayek of Siwa passed by the village of Kerke during his journey to Faiyum. There, he met the village leader Meritmaat, who was having issues with a local commander. Bayek helped her to rescue a villager who had been held hostage at a nearby military outpost, and later agreed to help her eliminate the commander.^[1]

At the same time, Bayek also destroyed a statue of Ptolemy XIII.^[2]

Historically, the Atef-Pehu Nome included the Faiyum Oasis, with the city of Krokodilopolis serving as the captial of the nome.
