Al-Khuraymat is a sandstone necropolis in northern Hegra. In the 860s, it was occupied by a group of robbers that terrorized the Al-Ula region.

Responding to a contract put forth by a merchant whose caravans kept being attacked by the same four bandits, Basim ibn Ishaq infiltrated the camp and eliminated the quartet, making sure their deaths looked like accidents as to avoid possible retributions towards the merchant.[1] At the site, Basim also recovered a clue to one of the robbers' hidden caches.[2]
