Wang Jian (王堅; 1204 – 1264) was a military commander in the Diaoyu Castle in the late Song dynasty.

In 1259, he commanded the Song forces in the Siege of Diaoyu Castle. At some point in the aftermath of the siege, General Wang Jian traveled to a barrack on the outskirts of the Fishing Village. It was there where he discovered the remains of a fellow commander which urged him to order a soldier to summon the deceased's daughter, Zhang Zhi, to the barrack without providing any details. Upon her arrival, he observed her grief and provided comfort in the aegis of her father's actions, declaring that he saved the city. He briefed her on the events that led to her father's demise and offered to lend a hand with the expenses of the funeral, much to Zhi's relief.
