The Builder was an Isu and one of the jötnar in Norse mythology.


Biography

The Builder arrived in Asgard after an attempted jötnar invasion[1] and promised protection in exchange for the sacred water from the Well of Urðr, which Odin acquired.[2] Odin and The Builder then created a magical barrier that could kill enemies of Asgard, and the jötunn expressed his desire to marry Freyja.[3] Odin brought the matter before Tyr, Loki, Thor, and Freyja herself.[4] Some time later, Odin defeated the Builder in battle and travelled to Jötunheimr in search of.[5]
