The Builder was an Isu and one of the Jötnar in Norse mythology.

Biography

The Builder arrived in Asgard after an attempted Jötnar invasion[2] and promised protection in exchange for the sacred water from the Well of Urðr, which Odin acquired.[3] Odin and The Builder then created a magical barrier that could kill enemies of Asgard and the Jotun expressed his desire to marry Freyja. [4] Odin brought the matter before Tyr, Loki, Thor and Freyja herself.[5] Some time later, Odin defeated the Builder in battle and travelled to Jötunheimr.[6]
