Roshan (Arabic: روشان; born c. 800) was a Hidden One who attained the rank of Master Assassin based at the stronghold of Alamut in what is now Iran. She was the mentor of Basim Ibn Ishaq, a street thief from Samarra and the inheritor of the memories of the Isu Loki.

Personality and traits

Roshan was a mature-woman of Persian-descent and had a strong personality. A true warrior who fought for justice and to protect her fellow Hidden Ones. Although loyal and honest, she kept details of her life shrouded in mystery.[1]

Behind the scenes

Roshan is an upcoming character set to be introduced in Assassin's Creed: Mirage, where she is voiced by Iranian-American actress Shohreh Aghdashloo.

Etymology

The name Roshan is of Persian origins and means "splendid light," "bright," and "daylight."
