The Blue House was Ishaq ibn Khalid's two-story residence located in the Farmer's Quarter of AlUla Oasis.

History[edit | edit source]

In the 860s, the corrupt merchant Nimlot ordered his band of robbers to kidnap Ishaq from his house to use as bait in a revenge plot against his son, the Alamut Hidden One Basim.[1] A short time later, after learning of the house's location and escaping from captivity in Musa ibn Nusayr Fort,[2] Basim entered the building looking for Ishaq. Finding the place ransacked, he investigated further, though was frequently distracted by artifacts from his childhood. While Basim pondered over a book of bedtime songs he found upstairs, Abbasid soldiers suddenly entered the home, though he learned from eavesdropping on them that their investigation into Ishaq's disappearance was a sham since they dared not oppose the robbers, whom they said were based somewhere in Ramm Valley to the north.[3]
