Assassin's Creed: Valhalla is an official tie-in novel of the video game by the same name by Matthew J. Kirby.[1] The book is set to be an original story connected to the events of the game.[2]

Behind the scenes

Assassin's Creed: Valhalla received untitled listings in online retailers days before the game of the same name was revealed. [citation needed] A day after the game itself was revealed, fansite AccessTheAnimus reported the name of the novel and revealed its author and preliminary cover art.[1]

Matthew J. Kirby had previously written a trilogy of young adult novel within the Assassin's Creed series, titled Last Descendants. The last instalment of said trilogy, Fate of the Gods, featured a similar setting to that of the game and new novel.
