The Ancient beacons were small hexahedron devices that worked in tandem with the Odin's Eye to guide a user to their location.[1] They also worked as a sort of Key, giving the user who found them small parts of a code phrace.[2]
Owners
- Isu (? – ?)
- Eivor Varinsdottir (c. 880s)
History
During the viking age the jarlskona Eivor Varinsdottir explored several different Isu tombs, within these temples the Isu artifact she had in her posession; the Odin's eye; sang to her, leading her to the beacons. When she picked up these objects they made her utter different Isu words.[2]
Later when she returned to Manius's Sanctum, the beacons activated. her eyes glowed with energy and she uttered the word *Shuràh", which pade a pedestal appear further into the sanctum. At this pedestal her eyes once again lit up and the words she had gained from the beacons were spoken, with this code phrace the large circular door leading to the Eden Ring Station opened in the floor.[2]
Eivor also encountered another beacon after opening Odin's Vault, this one was destroyed by Hildiran claiming its purpose of leading them to the vault was done.[1]
