Eudoxos of Knidos (c. 408 – c. 355 BC), was a Greek mathematician and astronomer.

Eudoxos taught at Plato's school, the Platonic Academy. It gave him the opportunity to develop new theories in mathematics and astronomy, such as his mathematical models of the planetary motions.[1]
