Biography
Searching for the Faith prong
Along with his sister, David was recruited by Sebastian Monroe to go into a shared simulation along with other teens — Owen Meyers, Javier Mondragón, Sean Molloy, and Natalya Aliyev.[1] After Monroe explained the secret war between the Assassins and Templars, he asked them to aid him to find the prongs and acquire them before either faction does. Within the Animus, he began to relive the memories of the elderly servant Abraham, while Grace relived the memories of Abraham's daughter Eliza.[2] During the simulation, David experienced racism[3] and his ancestor being beaten to death.[4] Fortunately, Monroe was able to ascertain that the Faith prong of the Trident was last seen with President Ulysses S. Grant.[5]
After the Animus experience, David, along with all but two of the other teenagers, was ambushed by the Templars.[6] While Monroe, Owen, and Javier escaped,[7] David was tased and taken along with Grace, Sean, and Natalya. The Templars relocated David and the others to an Abstergo facility known as the Aerie, where they met the Templars Isaiah and Dr.Victoria Bibeau. After the Templars revealed themselves and told them of the Trident's history, they asked the teens to join them on their efforts to acquire it before Monroe or the Assassins. Soon, David and the others agreed to their terms.[6]
Spying on the Templars
While at the Aerie, David and Grace knew that they had to play the long game with Abstergo and Isaiah. While they followed their orders, they kept watch on their movements without arousing suspicions. However, upon hearing about Sean's immediate urgent care after an abrupt end of his session, David and Grace checked up on him. While doing so, they saw Natalya barge in, check in on Sean, and accuse Isaiah of over-subjecting him to the Animus. while Isaiah offered to end their work, the Collins and Sean disagreed while Natalya walked out.[8]
They later talked with Natalya and assured her that they understood her frustrations but admitted that they must wait until Isaiah does not need Sean. Thus, they will be there to pick Sean back up again.[8] Upon seeing Sean dismissed by Isaiah after his last session ended with his ancestor Tommy Greyling losing the Templar agent Alice, the Collins and Natalya talked it over with Sean about it not making sense that Greyling would give up. After they talked with Isaiah about Alice's possible methods to escape, Isaiah was convinced and placed Sean back into the Animus. Ultimately, he learned Alice destroyed the manuscript and killed herself. Apologizing for his actions, Isaiah let the teens have a rest before their next Animus sessions.[9]
Searching for the Fear prong
Along with Grace, David stayed at the Aerie and relived the memories of an ancestor who was a Tuskegee airman.[10] However, despite having fun with the work, he wondered about the other parts of the facility.[11] However, his curiosity led him to sneak around the unknown parts of the Aerie and he found himself in the garage. There, he hid while he heard a discussion between Isaiah and the head of security Cole about not acquiring the Assassin Griffin, Owen, and Javier. Isaiah soon stated to kill the boys instead of retrieving them, shocking David.[12]
Making his way back, David was spotted by a guard but feigned sleepwalking and was escorted back to his room.[12] After some time, David and Grace met their father, who made his regular visits and congratulated them on working to relive their ancestors' achievements. However, they and their friends were convened by Victoria and Isaiah, who revealed their knowledge of David's incursion last night. Placing a curfew and a warning of stopping their sessions, the Templars left them to go back to their room. With Sean and Grace scolding David for his behavior.[13]
One night, the Aerie was placed on high alert and the teens' doors opened. While they reconvened with each other, the Collins and Natalya investigated while Sean ignored them and went back to sleep. They were soon found by Monroe, who disguised himself as a guard to rescue them. David and Natalya agreed to go with him but Grace decided to stay. Now separate, David left while Grace stopped herself and stayed in the Aerie.[14]
Coincidentally, Griffin, Owen, and Javier led their own rescue mission, which ultimately led to Javier driving a car with Natalya and David joining him. However, Monroe and Owen stayed behind to cover their escape.[15] Escaping the Aerie, David later met Griffin, whom Javier picked up on the road. With the teens catching up with each other, they arrived at the Assassins' base. There, Griffin asked Natalya to aid them, which she agreed on the condition that they all go to Mongolia. The Assassins accepted while Natalya returned to her simulation to find the last location of the Fear prong.[16]
However, when Natalya personally desynchronized to keep the last location of the prong to herself, David and Javier defended her when Griffin confronted her. When they reminded him of his promise, Griffin accused of Natalya of not keeping her end. She promised to tell him when they all arrive in Mongolia.[17] They all traveled to China, where they met another Assassin Yanmei, who escorted them to Burkhan Khaldun to find the Möngke Khan's tomb. However, their plan was shot down[18] by Isaiah but they survived.[19]
While traveling to the tomb, David saw a light sequence from afar that matched his Tuskegee ancestor's memories. Leaving the group, he found the Templars' camp and tried to sneak in but was captured.[20] Upon being brought to Isaiah, he saw Grace, Owen, and Monroe and hugged his sister. However, he was interrogated by Isaiah about the tomb's location, only to give his intel after Grace pleaded with him. After Isaiah and most of his men left, Grace and Owen had taken down the remaining guards and rescued David. David then told them the actual location of the tomb.[19]

While they uncover an access point, the Templars arrived and Isaiah held them all at gunpoint.[21] Fortunately, the Assassins Griffin and Yanmei came and attacked, taking down most of Isaiah's men. However, Isaiah managed to acquire the fear prong amidst the confusion and used it on his enemies. Although Yanmei tried to stop him, they all watched as Isaiah fatally stabbed her and denounced the Templars before leaving with his men.[22]
Making their way back to the Templars' camp, David and Grace met with Victoria, who arrived and also knew about Isaiah's deception. There, Victoria and Griffin agreed to a ceasefire to deal with Isaiah and his plan for world domination.[22]
Searching for the Devotion prong
Traveling back to the Aerie, David and the team found out that Sean was taken by Isaiah. Agreeing to stay to fight Isaiah,[23] David, Grace, and Javier were told that their ancestors were present during the time of their last piece of information of the prong. However, when David goes into the memories of farmer and warrior Östen Jorundsson, he lost control after learning about his slave Arne. Although he tried to integrate with the memories, he lost control and desynchronized. While he recollected himself,[24] David admitted to Grace that he could not accept the memories. Thus, Grace offered to go into the Animus and was able to accept the memories.[25]
After some time alone, David realized that Grace must have accepted the past but not their ancestor wholly. Checking up on Grace, he was able to talk with her through the Animus and convince her and Victoria to try again. Within the Animus, he began to relive his ancestor's memories successfully.[26] After Victoria and David discovered Östen was the last to hold the prong and told to hide it on behalf of Javier's ancestor Thorvald Hjaltason, they ended the simulation to make plans to secure it before Isaiah can.[27]
Concluding the last location to be in Västerås, Sweden, Victoria and Griffin agreed to have Owen, Grace, and Natalya join him due to their successful experience into the "collective unconscious." Meanwhile, David and Javier stayed and worked with Monroe to go through the same experience as them.[28] However, the teens, including Sean, returned back to the Aerie after they failed to secure the prong from Isaiah and lost Griffin, too. Upon their arrival, they, Monroe, and Victoria prepared to defend themselves against Isaiah and his forces.[29]
Defeating Isaiah
After placing the defenses around the Aerie, David and the rest waited until they heard Isaiah's helicopters. Readying themselves, David and Grace stuck besides each other and faced off against Isaiah's men. Yet, the opposition proved stronger as David and his team were pushed further back into the garage. Entering in, Isaiah ordered his men to kill them but was stopped after Sean challenged him to a duel. Although Isaiah rebuffed him, Sean stated that he knew his fears. Isaiah then used the Trident to inflict nightmares on the teens. However, when Owen snapped out of the illusion, David and the others followed his lead by accepting his nightmare.[30]

When they disarmed Isaiah and weakened him, Javier delivered the final blow with Griffin's hidden blade. Soon, Natalya grabbed the Trident and had the rest join her. Keeping to her promise, Victoria arranged for the teens to be safely transported home and left unbothered by the Templars.
