The Robbers' Water Supply was a bandit hideout southwest of Elephant Rock, in Ramm Valley, Al-Ula.

History[edit | edit source]

In the 860s, the corrupt merchant Nimlot led a gang of robbers that terrorized the valley.[1] Holding a grudge against the Alamut Hidden One Basim ibn Ishaq[2] for having publicly murdered his father Mas'ood Al-Ya'qoob in the main caravanserai outside Baghdad,[3] Nimlot ordered his men to kidnap Basim's father Ishaq ibn Khalid and take him to the valley. Basim travelled there in search of Ishaq and arrived in time to prevent a robber ambush on a new trader caravan. Following their fleeing tracks to the den, he found a note mentioning that his father had already been moved to the Robbers' North Outpost alongside a map to the location.[1] While there, Basim also recovered a clue to one of the robbers' hidden caches.[4]
