Behind the scenes
- The achievement Tree of Life and its icon are references to the titanic ash tree Yggdrasil that held together the Nine Realms of Norse mythology. It also is very similar to the icon for the Assassin's Creed: Valhalla achievement titled "Disorder of the Ancients", likely visually referencing the fact that Mirage was initially supposed to be a downloadable expansion for Assassin's Creed: Valhalla before being turned into its own game.[1]
- The icon for the achievement The Shadow references a pose struck by the titular character "V" from the comic book and 2005 film of the same name, as the prominent moustache of his Guy Fawkes mask is visible under the Assassin's hood.
- The achievement Dance of Death and its icon of dancing skeletons references both the Late Medieval art style of the same name that spoke on the inevitability of death as well as the German painter Michael Wolgemut's 1493 similarly-titled illustration in author Hartmann Schedel's encyclopedia Nuremberg Chronicle published that same year.
- The icon for the achievement The Flautist references the Pied Piper of Hamelin who according to medieval legend used his pipe to lead a rat infestation away from the German city of Hamelin.
- The achievement The Phantom and its icon reference the partial mask worn by the titular character Erik in French author Gaston Leroux's 1910 novel The Phantom of the Opera.
- The icons for the achievements The Novice, The Disciple, The Assassin, and The Master all display the Persian alphabet's formatting of Eastern Arabic numerals for the first, fourth, fifth, and sixth tiers of the Assassin ranks.
