Biography
Early life
Fuladh was born a slave[1] as the child of his father's concubine. His father's favored wife, worried Fuladh would claim inheritance, threw both him and his mother out of the household. After his mother died, Fuladh grew up in the deserts alone, living and befriending the animals that lived in the area, particularly birds. in adulthood, Fuladh was scouted by a Hidden One while he was hunting with his birds. Fascinated with his abilities, Fuladh was recruited into the Brotherhood, and became known as the Eagle Master in the newly-constructed fortress of Alamut, for he was the caretaker of the trained eagles that would be given to fellow Hidden Ones as companions.[2]
By the 860s, Fuladh served as one of the Brotherhood's leaders alongside Mentor Rayhan and Master Assassin Roshan.[3]
Mentor
In 879, Fuladh was set to host a council for the Hidden Ones in Alamut. Fellow Mentor Rayhan invited Hytham, a Hidden One sent to England alongside Basim Ibn Ishaq, to attend the council and give a full accounting, and to be conferred a new rank.[4]
Behind the scenes
Fuladh (فولاذ) is an Arabic name meaning "steel".
