Desert Waterfalls Hideout was oen of the camps of bandits following the Son of Ra, set at the waterfalls of the White Desert Oasis, Egypt, during the 1st century BCE. South of it was the bandits' other hideout, and between Dionysias and the Oasis another, set into the ruins of an old temple of the crocodile-god Sobek.

The bandits made the hideout their home, making a map of the local area, and painting their points of interest on it.[1]

The Waterfalls hideout was where the bandits stashed some of the farmers of Dionysias they kidnapped in 48 BCE. Among those they took was Rahotep, Rahotep's father, Addaya and Turo. Rahotep and Addaya managed to escape, though the latter was driven insane over the course of the ordeal, and his rantings fed the rumors of demons and monsters in the area.[2]

Sometime later, the Medjay Bayek of Siwa met Addaya, and the man's ranting led the Medjay to Rahotep, and together they sought to save what remained of the villagers. Bayek infiltrated the Desert Waterfalls Hideout, and freed the Dionysiotes, escorting them out, where Rahotep greeted them, to Turo's delight.[2]

While within the camp, Bayek found a note from the Son of Ra to his followers.

  • The Day of the Sun:
The only way it can be is the only way it could ever be. Ra don't lie. Ra never gives up or falls down. The sun is a rock on fire. The light of this world is beyond all but the pure darkness of my dreams, where Faiyum burns forever.
    The Son of Ra.
