The Mark of Cain

The Children of Cain was a collective of individuals that followed the teachings of Cain, the son of Adam and Eve. They are the oldest known precursors to the Order of the Knights Templar.[1]

Sometime after the Toba catastrophe and the Human-Isu War ended, Cain killed his brother Abel to acquire the Apple of Eden possessed previously by their parents. For his crime, Cain was branded with a red cross.[2] The Children of Cain named this cross the Mark of Cain[1] and, millennia later, it would be adopted by their future incarnation, the Knights Templar, as their insignia.[2] Following the founding of his order, Cain would later give himself the title of Master Mahan[2], a title shared by his descendant Lamech.
