The Mark of Cain, the symbol of the Knights Templar.

The Children of Cain were a collective of individuals that followed the teachings of Cain, the son of Adam and Eve. They are the oldest known precursors to the Order of the Knights Templar.[1]

Sometime after the Toba catastrophe and the Human-Isu War ended, Cain killed his brother Abel to acquire the Apple of Eden their parents previously possessed. For his crime, Cain was branded with a red cross.[2] The Children of Cain named this cross the Mark of Cain[1] and, millennia later, it would be adopted by the Knights Templar as their insignia.[2]
